I have noticed a lot of new poor fake imitations of this bowl.
This seems to be decent one thoughts?

Hi Calder, nice bowl, it is a spurious Chenghua mark and the painting style seems to bee correct but I do not know what period that it originated in, I know that the Chinese copied styles all through the deferent periods but the color of the unglazed foot I think would make it earlier than 20th century, But as Peter says Doucai porcelain is very rare.
I will be interested to see what Peter says about it.

Are all known Chenghua chicken cups the same shape and size or they differ?
Hope they got this one right:

By the way I found an article on the chicken cups but I am not sure how correct the provided information is.

In what respect? The owner of the site has more than average knowledge on the subject, and I know that he investigates his items very carefully. For that reason earlyming.com is recommended in our site in at least two places for further study.  :-)

I did not mean in any way to question the knowledge of the author. You always say to be careful with the information on the  different web sites. Good to know that the owner of this one is a reliable source.
