Hi Smak, the blue and green color do not match the Jiajing period of the Ming dynasty and I do not see any age signs and the way the top lid fits onto the bottom looks like ones I have seen that are recent from China, Lets see what Peter says.

I agree with Stan, the colors are a bit dark. One of the characters has a feature which may indicate it is imperial. However, I see no clear age signs. Without a hands-on inspection and using a strong magnifier I would not dare to decide if it is Ming or not. Not the least abrasion or scratching even after 400 years?
