We recently inherited this vase which originally came from an elderly relative in the early 1980's. We were always told that it was a 'Chinese Vase', we were wondering if someone could help identify it for us and tell us anything about it please. Many thanks.

Yes, the bottom indeed looks Chinese. Please upload larger pictures, one showing the whole item closer, and a partial shot showing the area with the white band. Try to get at least to about 100kb per picture to allow seeing tiny details.

Please find hopefully more detailed photos of the whole vase and the two white lines areas

This vase has a Fangge crackle glaze of two different colors. It appears to be from the late Qing to early republic period. The mark is irrelevant and only for decoration.
The vase shape is a bit deviating from the traditional shape of this type, having a proportionally big garlic head shape, and it seems fairly tall.
