Hi all,

Never seen a design like this before.. need your thoughts! Color seems to be Ming for sure..

Height: 2"
Diameter: 9 1/2"
Weight: 1 3/4 lbs.

Looks like Kraak ware but no really? Not really sure what to think of this...

Nothing Chinese with this plate. The mark itself also appears on Japanese porcelain.

Oh wow.. I thought it would be more of a kitchen Ming or a export of south east Asia with that design..

Learning something new everyday! This does look like old for a Japanese plate. Definitely reminds me of Ming for sure!

The blue rings on the bottom would indicate Arita, but the decoration is strange and the orange foot, it looks like their could be stilt mark on the bottom but Im not sure about that, like Peter says the mark is the only thing that looks Japanese.

If you flip the mark the other way it almost looks like someone tried to write a Fuku mark.

Not Chinese, nor Japanese.
I posted a bowl with the same decoration here somewhere which I believe was made in Indonesia.

Regarding the item I'd say this is fairly new.

Kind regards,
