Kangxi Imari tea caddy

Hi Peter, here is what I believe to be a Kangxi period tea caddy, my question is the bluish gray write for that period?

With bluish gray you mean the blue pigment? Looks like a locally mined pigment in it than usual. During the Kangxi reign several types of blue were used, including a bright blue, which disappeared after a time for unknown reasons. The blue color resembles one that was also used during the late Ming dynasty.

Yes the blue pigment, it looks it is bluish grey, more blue but the color is a perfect match of the color on the tea caddy.
