Vase - Chinese or Japanese?

Can anyone tell me if this vase is Chinese or Japanese?

Looks Japanese, but images are much too small to see anything clearly.

Sorry about that. Hopefully these images are better. I inherited this vase from my mother in law - it belonged to her second husband who said he bought it overseas during WW2 while he was stationed there.

This is indeed Japanese Satsuma type 1920s - 30s
