My husband brought home this ginger jar and I started doing some research as I have never owned one before.  After determining what it was called from doing some google image searches, I realize there are some very beautiful ones out there that I would love to have!
So my question are,
Is this a reproduction?
Do you think it is hand painted?
What do the Chinese markings on the bottom say?
And the sticker?  Who does it represent?
What is it's monetary value?

Thank you for your help and I do believe I will be a Ginger Jar collector!

This is a modern item. I would need to see a real close picture of a part of the decoration to tell if the blue lines are printed. It looks as if they are, with the current picture. The filling colors may be hand painted or printed.
The mark is a spurious Qianlong mark, for decoration only. The Chinese of the label means the same as the English.
Overall, the decoration style, glaze, base, etc. are all of a relatively new type.

Thank you so much for that information.  I have attached 3 pictures and one of them shows the blue line on top of the green leaf, which I think would support your theory.  I think that I might try to sell this one, because I've found one on line that I really like.

Yes, it's printed. That means it is a relatively recent product.

Thank you very much. I will move forward with that information.
