Hi there,
Any experts can give some comments on this item - like how to authenticate its origin?  It is a very beautiful bowl, pass down from three generations ago.

No expert here, but judging by its colors this item is from the 20th century. Rather on the later side, in my view.

My grand father who passed away in 1930s, who received it from my great grand father.

A another picture from back view. Any ideas?

Saying it more clearly, the colors used and the decoration style (flower coloring, etc.) itself can impossibly be 19th century, Chinese.
It would only be possible if it were Japanese.
Also, items marked Chenghua, even modern fakes, are few. But they are frequently found on Japanese items.

Stan

I agree with Peter, I think it is Japanese as well.

Peter and Stan,

Thank you for your comments.  So it must be made in early years of last century in Japan?

Stan

late 19th century to early 20th century.
