Bronze mounted crackle vase

The cracks are very small. By looking at the bottom it seems the vase was mounted many years after it was made.  The owner has no idea what it is and she says it has been in her family for decades. Can you share your opinion? Thanks

If it is Chinese, judging by the bottom and shape it probably is just that, a few decades old.
