Hello everyone,

I have this seemingly chinese style work, I suppose for export to India.
I was wondering what kind of mark that is on the bottom...

Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

peterp

Either it is modern, not Chinese or both.  It has no Chinese features.

Dear Peter, just for the sake of curiosity and learning something new, how about Benjarong ware?...

Yes, possible, but the rim shape and base are still not Chinese. Even export porcelain has usually a Chinese base. I can assure you that Benjarong bowls do...
Apart from this, as far as I know Benjarong made to order for Thailand was made only until about 1800 in China, more or less. After that they seem to have made it themselves, in Thailand.
