Hi,
Any help with the writings and the seal? Recent or old? I don't see that kind of decoration very often. What is the style called?
Thanks

Can you upload a good picture of the last four columns before the seal mark?
I think I see the cyclical calendar year for 1924, but need to see the rest too in order to make sure.

As you can see the flowers are painted in a western style, rather than Chinese. I have seen and own such items too. This is the period when many new styles and influences started entering the Chinese arts from abroad. Before that, realistic painting like this was almost only seen on imperial wares, mainly Qialong, as far as I know.

Yes, 1924, 10th Moon (of lunar calendar)
made (or ordered) by Rui Chang Xiang, which appears to have been a store or shopin Tianjin (Tientsin)

Thanks a bunch Peter.
I guess similar Western Style decoration is not very sought among collectors and probably not of a greater value? I would have never bought it if there was no writings on it.
