Hello, I want to introduce myself, my name is Annemiek and I'm new here.
I'm from Belgium, so my English is not so good :-) But I try.
I have a question of an Item I have bought.
It is a kind of pot you can hold plants in? there is no mark or sign, Can someone please tell me what this is.
I don't think (I hope at least) that it's not fake, but I am a beginner :-)
they told me it is from de 19th century, ant there is a hole in it.
anyway her are some pictures of it.
the size is from above 24,5 cm/ 23 cm the hight is 15cm.

Welcome Annemiek,
It has been some time, but I remember you posting in the old forum.
Could you upload larger pictures? They should be at least 100 kb. Try to aim at a width of 600 pixel. An image of the bottom and a side view close up would also help.

Hello Peter,
Nice that you remember me :-)
I wanted to send larger pictures but it didn't accept it?
I'll try again?..
thanx for you're reaction I really appreciate it.
by the way it is a Jardiniere-China mid 20th century?

annemiek

I have to do it one at the time I guess.

At least vintage. With mid-20th century you are on the safer side. Could even be earlier, in my view. Perhaps republic period.

Thanx peter for your reply!
I'm very happy with the result.
I payd Euro 64,00 for it inclusive shipping.
Many thanx again!
till next time :-)
Kindest regards,
Annemiek

Hi Annemiek, good price on such and nice piece, Im not sure that you can call this a Jardiniere, a Jardiniere has a pedestal, I would call this a planter especially with a hole in the bottom for water to drain.
