painted vase turned into lamp, please help identify

this came from the home of a famous boston interior designer who passed

i'm not sure of its age, though i can say that the painting seems more elaborate than the depictions i've seen on other vases and lamps online.

Can anyone help identify the age or origin of this object?

i have not taken it apart to look for an artist's stamps, do i need to?

The bright shine and the bright blue point to a later made vase, 20th century.

The chest it stands on is probably older than the vase. I would give the vase a few decades at the most.

thanks. if not an antique, do you think this was a mass produced piece or custom made?

I would say mass produced.
