Additional Snuff Bottle Photos

This is as much as I could clean off the bottom. There is a residue of a light tan, which encircles the rim of a large chip that extends into the base.

I also post a photo of a crack on one side where the bottle meets the base.

It looks as if someone tried to carry out a clumsy repair to keep the large bite out of the base from expanding, and started at that crack, which also appeared after I cleaned off the grit.

Any thoughts welcome.

I also noticed that the cork holding the little spoon is very dry. I wonder if I should oil it a bit? Thank you! KB
