Hi all

I have just purchased this little Chinese eggshell vase , small in size approx 12 cm's tall , gold rim , hand painted scene , It has various marks including one at each side of the painted scene and one on the base , I think the quality is quite nice but I know very little about it , any info on age or even info on those marks would be great.

Thanks

Hmm

Looks nice, but I doubt it's old, and it's probably fairly new.  The bottom says "Made in Jingdezhen".  If I recall stamps didn't use "Jingdezhen" until at least the 2nd half of the 20th century.

Hi Carlyoung, I agree with Hmm.
I have a vase with a similar bottom mark.
Porcelains with this mark are of second half of 20th century.
According to the gotheborg.com site, this mark is Jingdezhen Zhi (make), and the period could be 1970s.

The cyclical date given in the handwriting seems to be either 1985 or 2009.
This bottom could be machine made.
