Hi what are peoples thoughts on this mug?
Was offered to me as rare Kangxi ,but quite pricey.

Just two things. Personally I think this is a fantasy shape, non-existing in Chinese ceramics. This type of hue of the yellow ground color is typical for later fakes; used to give the impression of age. However, no yellow color ever turns this way, over time, as far as I know.

Forgot to mention. the cafe-au-lait color is just a variation of the darker brown on Batavia wares. Add some milk and you have it. I do not think it is yellowish, but in view to the color palette it involves the colors brown, white and sometimes a light shimmer of gold or nacre.
