Old Japanese Teapot Unmarked

This is one of the two items I referenced in the previous post with the large bowl.

The lid is missing its top, as you can see, otherwise it is in good condition. Because of the damage, I got it for $2.00.

All the decoration can be felt with the finger, and there is some moriage-type work, white dots.

Bamboo-style handle, not unlike a teapot I listed here last spring.

There is no mark, and am I correct that the bottom shows genuine age?

This, too, makes me think early 20th century?

Hi Kaaren, nice Teapot I would say this is Hizen Arita made probably late Edo period, things were rarely signed in the Edo era, not like the Chinese porcelain, it was the Meiji period when they started signing most of their export porcelain, thanks again for posting.

Thank you, Stan. I am so glad I didn't let the lid missing its top stop me from taking it home.

I have a "bowl top" that is hizen arita, but I think much later. Cheers. K.
