Another finding from today definitely export maybe early republic? I wonder what is the sense of the hole in the handle?

I think this is a more recent piece. The enamel colors are to strong and the painting style is more recent. It also doesn't;t have the quality of republic period pieces. At least in this type of art.

Also, most of the time a high quality piece will have a hand painted mark and not a stamped one.
