Hello to all.

I'd appreciate any thoughts about my Chinese Temple jar which I purchased in Minneapolis from a reputable antique dealer in the 70's.  I was told it had been acquired from a temple and dated from the early 20th century.  There were some old colored paper streamers inside.  It is 20 inches tall and 10 inches diameter at the widest point.  Weight is 14.5 lbs.  Estimate of value appreciated.  Thanks.

Sorry to disappoint .
It looks like  it was  probably new when you bought it.
Porcelain marked "Made in China" is usually from the 1970s.
Also has a apocryphal Mark
Someone will tell you for definite.

Marks on an unglazed bottom always are 'not of the period'. Black outlines and thick enamel almost always point to the later part of the 20th century.
