The link below is an online version of the Kangxi dictionary. It can be used for checking on little known character versions.
A character found on porcelain of the Qing dynasty that is not in the Kangxi dictionary is suspect, while character versions that are not in use anymore but did exist when the dictionary was compiled makes it more likely genuine.
The Kangxi dictionary is an early compilation of all known characters in existence at the time. It can be used to check if certain characters did exist in the early Qing dynasty.
