Mysterious buddha plate

The previous owner told me it was brought by his aunt who went to china in the 1960s and was given to her as a gift . There ' s no marking  and I am having a difficult time figuring how old it is. Thanks

This looks more Islamic than Chinese, nothing traditional for Chinese.
