Hello,

Can anyone tell me more about the period and origin of this saucer? its aprox. 10/12cm wide.

MythicalFoxes

it is a rice grain pattern bowl. the rice grain technique came from turkey during the 14th century. and  used during the Ming dynasty. the mark says Wan Yu meaning Jade trinket from what i have read. the mark and decorations come from the kangxi period. and this style and technique became very popular in around the 1900's.  you bowl is probably from around 1940's something like that. the decorations are hand painted but it seems like the mark is stamped on. most probably produced in Jingdezhen where a lot of them are made. if you google "chinese rice grain pattern porcelain wan yu mark" you will find many more similar objects.
