The Water Cooler board has a new post on fake ceramics with fake labels that have appeared in the last year or two on the market.

Never rely on labels when buying...even genuine marks are sometimes taken from genuine antique items and stuck unto fakes.

(Wax seals mean NOTHING in view to authenticity. They appeared in China's official cultural relic shops to identify items that could be taken out of China, mostly those with little collecting value. They do not mean an item is an authentic antique.)
