Could be from northern China, could also be Liao empire.
Basically this ceramic item is imitating a leather bag for water. The original item would have been carried on horse, Thus it would have been from a northern area of China or the Liao empire, where it probably originated.
Usually, they are single color glazed, but some have decoration. Try researching Liao wares or  wares from northern China, most probably from the Tang to Song dynasty (ncluding Jin), that is wares from northern kilns. As a ceramic it served as ewer. The figure near the mouth would likely be a ;chilong', a dragon with a split tail.
