Large dish. Republic?

Please your opinion on this large plate. It looks to me Republic, but I could be wrong.

This is late 20th century in my view.

While the motif is Chinese, the underside is not what one would expect withChinese wares. The ring near the foot rim and the modern mark makes it likely to be 20th century, or Japanese, or both. Basically the ring inside the foot is nothing  traditional Chinese.
