Almost everything in the vase is telling me that it is a recent piece but just to double check. That "China" mark is generally used on older pieces but I've seen many exceptions.

Hi Kardinalisimo, you are correct, it is a recent item, the bottom is not is not a traditional bottom for Qing or early republic.
