hello,

i recently acquired a couple of big vases.  they measure about 23" tall and 50" in circumference.  any information on them would be greatly appreciated.

This is a Fencai bottle vase, a close up of the decoration and one of the bottom , a close up that is, and one of the other side of the vase, the Qianlong mark is spurious,  it could be Guangxu period the extra photo's should confirm this.

Yes, this is a very nicely decorated vase with peonies, lets see what Peter says about the mark.

Probably 20th century. The mark is spurious and the bottom and glaze a bit too white for 19th century. My personal view.
I would suggest to have someone check the weight, consistency of the foot rim and interior. If very heavy it may be on the later side.

Hello Peter.  Thank you for your time and expertise.  The vase weighs 27 lbs., but I'm not sure if that's on the light or heavy side for this size vase.  I'm trying find a local person to take my items to, but haven't found anyone yet.
