Is that Republic period? I know stamp "China" usually means that but there are pieces from the 70's stamped this way as well. There seems to be another mark but it is not very clear.
Thanks

If there are pieces from the 70s with this stamp, this is a likely manufacturing time for this.

I've read that 'china' was replaced with 'made in china' in 1920 but there many pieces made after that were stamped with just 'china'. I found the bowl to show quite of age but maybe it was purposely made to look old. The other mark may give some clue but it is either partial or too faded to be read.

All types of apocryphal marks do appear on 20th century porcelain, especially in the later 20th century. One of the most widely used apocryphal mark in the 20th century is the Qianlong mark. Marks just cannot serve for deciding age. M& P marks are more the exception than the rule, in my view.
