I just purchased this small bowl.  There are no markings. It's 5 1/2" X 1 1/4" high. I think it's hand painted. The bowl has raised rays coming out from the center which might not show in my picture. It has a ceramic feel as opposed to china or porcelain. And by ceramic feel, I mean slightly rough on the underside. I have no idea on age.  Someone suggested to me it is Kutani.  In searching Kutani, I mostly see items with marks but this has none.

Is this Kutani?  Age on this piece?

Hi Carolfsvt, It does have a Kutani look to it, they are known for their red and gold decoration, with the star burst, I would say 2nd half of the 20th century, I have never seen that pattern though.

Thank you for the info.
