Title: Porcelain Cats - Chinese? Japanese?
Post by: KayAntiques on Dec 02, 2014, 05:00:09
Good evening all, I have inherited a set of Porcelain cats and trying to learn about them more as I am beginning to collect various items. (If they are authentic? Place of manufacturer? Manufacturer company/Artist Name? Age?) if possible,

Thanks in advance.

I have been doing my own research on (4) character marks and have not come up with much. Apart from, If I am correct that the (1) mark represent land/China (2) Unknown (3) Some sort of accreditation? Honesty? or an act? (4) comparing to other marks I have come across - it may be some sort of government institute?

PLEASE correct me if I am wrong

Well; like the sticker says on the bottom Made in China, I can't read the mark but Im sure that they were made in the late 20th century.

The stamp also means Made in China.
