Title: Dating of Blue and White Baluster Vase
Post by: tedwill on Feb 15, 2014, 03:33:49
Could someone please help me to determine the age of this pair of blue and white Baluster vases. They are 14" high (including the lid). The inside of the lid has a lot of "rust spots". I'll attach as many pics as I can.

Here are the other pics.

Also, the vases have a center horizontal seam - is that significant ?

Hi Tedwill, your vase looks modern to me, blue and white vases of the late Qing or early republic would have similar decorations but on your vase the houses look to be a bit modern and not traditional.
