Title: No idea if this is even authentic...
Post by: elmonte2014 on Sep 18, 2014, 05:28:04
Hi guys!

So I found a box at my grandmothers house, it's a 17 piece tea set with no real identifying marks in regard to age or origin.

A cursory internet search has told me the following:
1) The fact that the logo at the bottom has western characters, it is most likely rubberstamped from the 1970's, which would correspond to the time period my grandparents moved.
2) I am unable to find the exact design of either the flower OR the stamp on the bottom.

Can anyone give me an idea of what I am dealing with here?  Some characteristics:
1) The only label on the box said 'fish' and a sticker with 'FXOD'
2) All pieces have gold trim
3) The design is a pink lotus on green leaves, with birds in the background
4) 17 pieces all individually wrapped in cardboard
5) pictures enclosed

Thanks for any info you can think of!
-Chuck

Mark is from the 2nd half of 20th century. Probably factory made, not hand-thrown.
