Title: looking for dating & information on vase/jar
Post by: marge326 on Sep 13, 2014, 08:21:26
Hello, I inherited this jar & am looking for any information concerning date & where it was made. I don't see a makers mark anywhere. I know my parents came into possession of it at lease 60 years ago but it could of been handed down from my great grandparents 100+ years. Any feedback would be great and I can take more detailed shots if needed. Thanks!

Japanese Stasuma vase or lidded Jar, pre 1868, that is when they started marking their items, this type would be considered Earthen Ware, very nice collectable piece.
