Title: Old blue and white tea pot
Post by: Stan on Sep 10, 2014, 09:46:16
Hi Peter, I just picked this up and it looks old, but I am not sure what period, I think it could be early 19th century or earlier but not sure, your expert opinion is appreciated, the height to the top of the lid is 13.5 cm and the  width from spout to handle is 20 cm, I am including 16 photo's for you to view, thanks.

Late 18th to early 19th, I would say too. This appears to be B/W Canton ware.

thank you Peter, I remembered awhile back when you were talking abut tea pots and you mentioned the older ones have three holes in side at the spout to keep the tea in, I thought of that when I bought it.
