Title: Chinese Bowl? Anyone have any information on the age and marks?
Post by: shofner303 on Sep 08, 2014, 17:03:44
I recently bought this bowl and I was wondering if anyone might be able to help me with the age and maybe what the marks might mean or even any general information. Any help is greatly appreciated!

The the top is about 19.5cm in diameter, while the foot measures 8.5cm in diameter.

I think this is Japanese and the decoration is printed, I think it is a modern piece.

The mark says Ryuho kiln. And yes, as Stan said, it is modern. Actually it seems to be printed.
