Hi - new to forum and hoping for some help. Had the little dish for ages now but despite trawling the internet have been unable to find anything which would help me identify it- the characters appear to be shrouded in clouds? The other was purchased on a whim but think I have bought a cheap mass produced vase/ flask- any help on either item would be greatly appreciated
Many thanks
Hi Jilly, the photos are to small for anyone to view, however the bottom of the bottle or flask looks modern, the plate I can not see any detail it is just to small, it you could send larger pictures of the detail and of the mark on the plate that would help.
Hi- hopefully I have managed to attach a couple of larger photos
Its not much larger, but it looks Japanese or late 20th century Chinese.
Thanks- any idea with regards to the writing ?
Sorry Jilly, I do not recognize the marks, may be Peter can help with that.
Too small to read, but not sure if it can be read. Handwritten Japanese marks are frequently not written in neat characters.
The flask is likely Chinese, new. It most likely is very light and thinly potted. Bottom and shape are not quite right for an antique.
