Title: Japanese Vase
Post by: Kaaren B. on May 18, 2025, 03:03:53
Good evening, all! Today I think I picked up something nicer than for some time.

This vase looks a bit like the work of the Fukagawa brother who split off in the 1950s, but I was not sure from the mark.

Photos are deceptive, the vase is a creamy white and the enamel is lovely!

Appreciate any info on mark age, quality - I paid $14 for this at a thrift shop today.

Oh, my - I need to make an edit: I meant Kakiemon brothers, not Fukagawa brothers! KB

I thought the decoration looked like Kakiemon, but am not good enough with dating Japanese porcelain. Someone else may help with dating.
