Today I found for $2.00 at a church sale a large, blue and white, Japanese bowl with reticulated sides.
There is a mark on the bottom, a very beautifully done foot-rim with further design, and the underside is also bordered by a blue circle.
The workmanship on the reticulated sides is very beautiful.
There are no chips or cracks, I do not think this is very old.
I would be glad of an identification of the mark, and the possible age.

Hi Kaaren, nice dish, this is Kinpo kiln Hasami mid 20th century.
Thank you, Stan. This is another area/kiln/make I have not heard of - I thought it might be Arita when I first looked at it. It is in perfect condition, so I was very pleased. I will look Hasami and Kinpo up. Kaaren
I looked up the kinpo kiln and found that this is in the Arita family. This lattice style is one of the kiln's most famous products, also that the porcelain and artistic work is considered to be high quality.
Here is the information, so others can see it:
"This style of Japanese Arita porcelain is known as some-nishiki (literally meaning colorful brocades with blue), and the reticulated lattice work is known as sukashi (or open work).
. . . made by the Kinpo Kiln -(sometimes spelled Kin-ho) still very much in operation turning out top quality wares at very reasonable prices considering the workmanship that goes into it."
