This cup has a fencai phoenix decoration. The mark is a spurious four character Qianlong mark, stamped in red. This would mean it is sometimes in the early 20th century, probably. That would be late Qing or early republic period, I would think.

So they've used a Qianlong mark for something from the early 20 C?  Is that often done on these pieces?

Four character Qianlong marks were commonly used in the early 20th century. But many other Qianlong mark types are found all over 20th century products. The marks are for decoration only.
