Title: Republic bowl
Post by: Adriano on Mar 19, 2024, 17:24:27

I would like to acquire this piece, but i have some doubts.
The decoration points to early Republic period, the Jiangxi Porcelain Company was still operating in that period.
What is non convincing is that it is too pristine, could it be a later copy?

Thanks for comments.

You are probably right, Adriano. I would let it go...

I also want to point out that I do not remember seeing any ceramics of this type and period with the rim indents.
That was something used on much older types of ceramics.
