Title: Verify identity of Chinese pedestal bowls
Post by: scausby448 on Dec 15, 2023, 02:11:45
I believe these are from the Qianlong dynasty.  I did a little work on the mark and.  Anyone agree, disagree?    Thanks for any information.

The mark alone can tell us that this is 20th century. Nothing to do with Qing dynasty.
Qianlong marks were most often used on 20th century items as decoration. Real Qianlong marks were hand written in a different character style.

Please see pages regarding "Marks" in the main site chinese-antique-porcelain.com for more information on the usability of marks for dating.

I have to say, it is quite confusing.  Thanks for the comment.  Would you have any clue where it was made?  Thanks.

With almost only a mark it is difficult to say, but the majority of fakes is from China, no exact location.
