To me this looks Japanese, and possibly printed. Whether it is printed needs a closer inspection.

I probably got fooled by the unglazed lips. The base seemed ok to me too.
But it does look like a print. And the depicted scene is not quite Chinese, right? Maybe the shape is not Chinese either?
