Title: Qianjiang style bowls
Post by: Adriano on Dec 03, 2022, 20:26:42
I have been offered to buy 2 similar bowls claimed to be of 19th century.
My impression is that they are more recent, republic or later.
I would like to have an opinion about period.

Thank you.

Republic period, probably 1st half of 20th century but after the Qing dynasty.
The mark on the bottom is "Lianxi Taohui" seems to be a known pottery association. The lack of abrasion could mean that it has not been used.

Thank you Peter,

I have difficulty to recognize the period if the subject is landscape.
Probably these pieces are not to be considered antique, I think I will renounce.
