Post by: smak on Sep 29, 2022, 11:34:28
Hi all,

What do you think of this piece? Seller claims its a Southern Song 1127 to 1279. I personally don't have any experience with these types of bowls, what do you guys think>? Seller wants $600 USD...

Looks all new to me, and the bottom was apparently dyed. It should be dark brown inside too.
There should be glaze drops below, a brown top rim and more...

If you want to get involved with Jian wares, you might consider looking at some authentic shipwreck items of these. There should be plenty.

Thanks Peter! After taking another look, it appears that the words in the bottom looks freshly carved as well!
