I thought the bottom was just soo interesting for a  Ming piece. Maybe its not?

Not sure what you mean with the bottom, because it is not glazed? or is it the foot rim?
Late Ming items often have this Yuhuan 玉環 bottom.

There is a Yubi and a Yuhuan, Yubi bottom resembles in shape the Jade Bi (a Jade disc with a hole in the center) of very ancient times, while the Yuhuan would be a Jade ring (the type ladies wear on their wrists) although those are round, of course.
