Title: Polychrome and Gilt Meiping Vase
Post by: boxwoodantiques on Jan 25, 2022, 09:22:12
Not antique.  I'm guessing 1970's or so.  I've never seen a vase quite like it.  Has "Made in China" sticker, "A28" stamped on bottom and a symbol in blue.  Any info would be appreciated. Thanks - Jerry

There is not much to tell, I'm afraid. As you already mentioned already, probably from more recent times. Apart from the shape there is no decoration feature or anything that looks Chinese. Basically, the painted decoration looks more western than Chinese. Could be from anywhere.

Well if it was made in China, you would not know it but by the sticker itself there is nothing traditional to it, maybe 21st century.
