Title: Chinese fish bowl
Post by: sas100golf on Jun 09, 2021, 19:20:52
Hi there,
We inherited this fish bowl from an old aunt who claimed it was brought back to England by her husband from China during the 2nd World War.  I just wanted to know if it is merely a mass produced item before I consider selling it.

Im afraid this is more recent, first it is printed, I do not think they were printing before the republic period 1912 - 1949. World war 2 was from 1939 to 1945, the bottom is also incorrect for that period, I believe the signed pieces that were signed on unglazed porcelain is much later, late 20th or later, if it is glazed the foot is similar to ones you see in the 1960's or later.
