Title: Chinese bowl
Post by: de munte on May 04, 2021, 04:57:39

I'm interested in Asian ceramic for few months now and i've learnd a little bit about it now.
Most from this forum, thanks for that!

Today I bought this bowl, my feeling says it is fake.

On Alibaba they sell the same but is little bit different.
Ik think a real one is from 18th century.

Greetings Peter

The exterior decoration looks as if it could be stamped. This type of decoration has been made for a long time in the Qing dynasty, but the hue of the blue pigment and the shape points to end of Qing or republic period, possibly even later, in my view. This is something used by the common people.
