Title: Japanese 1840 Bowl

Not sure what to think of it, pattern appears to be Japanese. WHat do you guys think of this?

Hi Smak, I just can't comment on this, their are parts that looks like Japanese and parts of the decoration that dose not,  the one blue line on the bottom makes me think Seto, because I have seen a lot of Seto ware that has the single blue circle on the bottom, Arita has 3 or 4 blue circles on the bottom the black decoration on the inside and out side top is very strange, I thinks a hands on examination is needed here, someone that is familiar with Edo period porcelain.
