Hello Forum ,
Just bouth from flea market in Portugal.What do you this about this beautiful jar kangxi period. I just found very simalar on

Hi  Natalina, the one shown at Christies is a ming vase, the one you have has a Kangxi mark and looks like it could be of the period, however the bottom looks like the dirt was added to make it look older, see if the dirt can be cleaned off, if not is is more than likely to be a later copy.

Hi Natalina, after comparing your ginger jar to other kangxi period ginger jars I believe yours is a later copy, the blue color is wrong for that period, yours looks like a chemical blue and not a mineral color that would have been used back thin also the clouds are wrong, I believe yours is late ching.
